Hey,ladies!
It's been a while since I blogged but as you know by now,I'm really not the world's best blogger!So what's happening in my life lately?

Hello,ladies!
So once again I've decided that it's time to update my poorly neglected blog!Everyday I wake up with the best intentions to do some blogging but if I catch myself another day has gone by without me blogging.So this morning I decided come what may,I WILL BLOG!!Even if it's the only thing I do for the day!

Well although I haven't blogged in a while doesn't mean I haven't been busy.I've finished my new Lavender Wedding kit!I decided to make a lavender and lilac colored wedding kit since I just adore the color purple and lavender flowers.The wedding dress in my kit was doodled by my very talented ct member Linda on her tablet for me which I just recolored and embellished then.

Okay,so I'm officially the worst blogger ever!The only excuse I have is that I have been so busy making some new kits that I didn't have the energy afterwards to do any blogging.But I promise from now I won't neglect my blog and readers anymore!

So,let me show you what I've been up to!

I just have to start of by saying thanks to all of you that've send messages to me!I'm so touched by all of you that left messages for me! Some of you had the saddest stories as well and I really wish I could give each and everyone of you a hug.Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment and tell me your stories as well.I was feeling way better(in a way,lol) after reading your messages and I also once again came to the conclusion that I'm not the only person in this world that has lost someone dear to me or am feeling sad.

Very sad news for me!

Hi,girls!

I decided to do some blogging today in the hope to get some of this pain off my chest.My uncle which was very dear to me,died on Friday morning.He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer about 3 months ago.He was a man that lived life to the full and loved living.But to see him so sick just broke my heart into pieces.He lost the ability to speak in this time,but always there was some music playing in the background of his room as he just loved his music.But to him this couldn't have been life anymore.To lose the ability to speak,laugh and even wash yourself are things that we take for granted.As he was a man of great pride,he couldn't have enjoyed it for others to do this for him.

2 Days before he died his sister called us to come to him.The moment I walked into the door,I just turned around and walked out again.There wasn't a man lying on the bed but a skeleton.I saw him 2 weeks prior to this,but since then he had a huge down fall and lost more than half his body weight.After I cried for a while,I turned back and went into his room again to greet him.He was so ill,but still recognised me.Something told me that this will be the last time I see him so I wanted to make sure he knew I loved him so I asked him if he knew it and he nodded yes.I was so glad that he knew this but also sad about the circumstances.

My aunt told me before he died he said that he loved us and then asked to be taken to his room.On the way to his room he died.

Why am I telling you all of this?I don't know,maybe because you're strangers,but maybe also because I know you're real people and will understand what heartache it brings to lose someone you love.Thanks so much for reading all of this,I sure feel better now!

Have I got some great news for you!I had a hard time not to blog about it for the past few days!But now I'm allowed to tell all of you!....

I was chosen to become a designer at Digi Design Resort!Yeah!!And I have my first kit up in store!It's called A Love For Christmas and has 12 papers and 43 elements.Have a look!

Anyway here is what I'm suppose to do:I have to make a list of 6 things I love.

So here goes:

My Children ~ They are my whole world.Without them I'm lost.
My mom and dad! ~ They stood by me in times when there was no else to turn to,they are always willing to listen when I need to talk to somebody but most of all they love me for who I am!
My computer ~ In particular the 19 inch screen hubby got me for my birthday!Will go nuts without my computer!
Butterflies and Flowers ~ I love all kinds of butterflies and flowers,to me there is nothing more beautiful than a butterfly on flower.
Music ~ The 1st thing I do in the morning when I wake up is to make some coffee,put on the radio and read my emails.(In that order,yes!)
Animals ~ I adore animals and absolutely hate people that harm innocent animals!

A few days ago I applied to be a quality control checker at Pretty Scrappy and yesterday I got the mail that I was accepted.This job I thoroughly enjoy not just because I get to keep all the kits but also because I get to learn so much from it.

Bad blogger with a freebie!

Yes it's true,I'm a bad blogger!But not because I want to be,simply because I have a poor ISP.Infact,I think their service stinks!I've been without internet for 10 days all together this month,how's that for service?And this is not the 1st time this is happening,I've been with them for almost 5 months now and it happens every month.And then there is the fact that they no longer provide us with e-mail addresses and the poor upload and download speed.So do you see my point that I'm not the bad blogger willingly?

Okay,enough ranting and raving!I've got some awesome news as well!(Awesome for me anyway!) It was my birthday the 26th of October and guess what hubby got me?A 19 inch flat screen and external hard drive!!Woohoo!I've always wanted such a screen and a external hard drive.And since one of the stores had a huge sale on pc stuff the other day my hubby decided he will get it for my birthday!Now is that a clever man or not?He gave it to me a few days before my birthday and then what happens?On the actual birthday,he forgot that it was my birthday!!10 points less for him!But he's forgiven just because I love this flat screen to death!Oh and him as well!LOL!

Hi,girls!

I've been without internet for most of yesterday and today there's no internet!And that really sucks as I don't know what to do with myself!But I came up with this great plan to go to the internet cafe from where I can do everything at high speed.I've downloaded all of the kits I want and some more,at really great speed.At home I've got a wireless line but the speed is up to no good,when I have internet that is!

I also got some great news to share!I was accepted onto Blushbutter Designs CT Team!This is just the best news for me because ever since I started scrapbooking I was in love with her work and wanted to become a part of her team!Check out this great kit that I get to work with this month!

Hi,girls!

Yeah,yeah,I know I said I would be back yesterday with another freebie but you know sometimes unexpected things happen of which you have no control!

I was just getting ready to sit down and begin to blog when I heard a "TOOT" at the gate!What do I see?My mom and dad!And they brought cool drink,a home made bread and lots of meat!(No,I have enough food in my house,don't feel sorry for me!)They decided to pay me a surprise visit so we can have a braai (barbeque).And as always my mom don't like turning up empty handed and brought lots of stuff with her!What a nice time we had!

Hello,ladies (and gents!)
It's Friday and I'm so glad!I had a tough week and need this weekend so much!I'm just gonna relax and make a few layouts.(This relaxes me!)

This week was also a week full of surprises.I applied to be a CT member for the Scrap N Tag Shop and was chosen!I'm so excited to be on this group,there's a bunch of great Designers on this group as well as a lot of nice ladies on the CT group.OMG!and are they funny,we had such a good time deciding on a name for our CT group(Scrap Angels),my stomach still hurt!

Okay let me show off my 1st layout I made for them.

The kit I used is by PST Designs and is called Airy.

I also got some other good news from my other CT group.Boo,from Booland Designs are back from her holiday!Although she didn't had much of holiday it seems.A family member got sick and she had to help and then on top of that her PC had to go to the PC hospital!But we are still glad she's back!You guys will also be be glad to hear she have some major surprises for you in store!So keep an eye on her blog,soon she will let you in on the surprise.

Now I need some advice from my fellow scrappers!I decided to join the bandwagon and learn how to design my own kits!But the question is:I'm not sure where to start.Which program will be the best for this,Photoshop or Paintshop Pro X2?And which place will be the best to learn this from.

Before I go,here are some layouts I made this week.

I was in a bit of a playful mood today so I decided to make a layout with my favorite theme,Fairies!I used the grass and shadow boxes of Carena's Tom Boy kit and everything else are tubes or free stuff.For the next one I used Grab bag no.2 by Jersey's Designs.

For the next one I used the kit Tollana by Mamrotka

And the next 2 I've done with the beautiful kit Blooming Dale by Lara's Digi World.(Fairy not included)

Goodness me,where did the time go?It's been nearly a month since I last blogged!But you all know that sometimes our ordinary lives get in the way of scrapping and blogging!

Did you miss me?Sure hope so!I've had quite a busy few days behind me.I was invited to join a couple of new CT's,yeah! but I still had to keep up with the normal everyday stuff as well.

Okay so I have had a few request to join CT teams.And I'm over the moon with the requests! These girls have such beautiful kits,that it's really just a pure joy to work with them! Okay lets begin with the FREEBIES!Yay!!

Okay let me show you some of my layouts I've done the past few days.Let's start with the ones I did for Boo from Booland Designs.Btw, I just love being on her CT team,she makes the most gorgeous kits but she's also a very caring person that are always ready to help us in any way she can!Thanks,Boo!

The layout on the left I did for my mother as she's going through a bit of a rough time at the moment.Possible breast cancer,we're still waiting for the results.I really hope and pray that it won't be the case,cause she had to deal with cancer on a previous occasion and the chemo just made her so sick that she didn't even want to live anymore! I did this layout with Boo's beautiful kit "Mother". Get it here.

The second layout on the right I did with her very stunning kit "Everything you are" You can get it here. I just loved working with these kits as they have some really beautiful elements and papers to work with.

I also did some fun layouts with Karla Marano from Karlas Kaleidoscope new kit "Wintry Wonders Revisited".The layout on the left I used both the Wintry Wonders Revisited and the January Personal use grab bag elements and papers.I had so much fun creating this layout!

The one on the right I used her Flamingo kit.The flowers are not included!They are from Petit Moineaux.This is a layout I wanted to do for a very long time now.My daughter has the most beautiful eyes,and I really wanted to capture them in a special way.I'm really chuffed on how this one turned out!

I also made another layout layout with the Flamingo kit that turned out pretty nice.

Okay,here are the last ones for today!These ones I created just because I was in the mood to do some really fun layouts.I think they turned out prettty cute!(Pat myself on the back!!LOL!) Actually this isn't true scrappin' in the real word of it,as I used mostly free tubes and png images I found on the net. I call them "Land of make Believe" - Daytime and Sunset.The one with the blue background I used a paper from Michelle Coleman's kit "Wild Sorbet".And the one on the right I used a paper by Natali.

Hello,girls!Long time no chat!I was quite busy the last few days.I'm on 3 ct's at the moment and I had to do about 7 layouts in the last few days!But I really enjoy being on each and every CT team I'm on.

Friday I decided I no longer want to be a red head! (I am actually blonde but sometimes get bored with it and ask the hair dresser for something darker!)So Friday morning I went to my hair dresser and asked to be blonde again and she just shooked her head and laughed! She really did a lovely job getting all of the red out and making it into the most gorgeous blonde I've ever had,she even put some high lites in to acsentuate it a bit more!

Here are the before and after photos,let me know what you think!

The ones of me with the blonde hair was taken on my friends birthday party this weekend where we had a whale of a good time...and to much cocktails as well!!LOL!Oh,well I survived,had a bit of a headache but it was worth it!

It's been a while!

Okay,so it's been a while since I last blogged.But so much has happened in the meantime.Like I told you the last time we had a death in the family and we had his funeral last week.I stayed with my aunt (whose husband it was) for a few days and felt very sad when I finally had to leave.But a good thing about the trip was that I introduced her to digi scrapping and she's head over heals in love with it!I thought to introduce her to it so she doesn't sit around and just be sad all day.And it worked like a charm!

On the home front the schools for the new year began and now I have a bit more time for myself(actually for scrapping!)I actually made 6 layouts in the past few days and usually I only make one a month!Here are some photos of the kids on the first day of school.Oh,by the way check out the little boy's actions behind my daughter in the first and second photo!The one moment he is still calm,the next moment he is bowling his eyes out!LOL!But I still felt sorry for him!

And here are a few layouts I made.The first two I made with the wonderful kit "Blessings by Karla Marano from Karla's Digi Kaleidoscope You can find it in her shop and it's on sale now for only $1.50

The second two I used Flerg's mini-kit "Strawberry Delight".You had to use the mini kit to create a layout in order to apply to be a member on her CT team.The layout I chose to enter is the one which says "You make me happy".So please hold all your thumbs and toes for me!The CT members will be announced on her blog on the 1st of February.

The last layout I'm going to show today is one I did for two challenges over at Digital Scrap Garden. I think that's enough for now,I'll love you and leave you so you can go scrapping.

Good news,bad news and a freebie!

Hi,girls!

Today I've got good news and bad news to tell you.Let's begin with the bad news.

This weekend I went to visit some family of mine and we had such a good time,chatting,laughing and looking threw some old photos of the family.Sunday night we decided to stay over till Monday morning since they asked us so nicely to sleep over for another night.So Monday morning at 4 o'clock we said our goodbyes,hugged them and left so we could still be in time for work.(Before I go one with my story I must tell you that only December my uncle had a double heart bypass surgery.)

So 9 o'clock yesterday morning I phoned my uncle to tell him we arrived home safely.Later that afternoon my dad phoned me to tell me that my uncle had a heart attack and didn't make it!I was so shocked I just sat down and began to cry!He still had so many plans and things he wanted to do when he was well again.I don't know how his wife will cope without him,she loved him so much,and Sunday night she still showed us some of their wedding photos and told us he is such a handsome man!

Okay,lets leave it at that for the moment and go on to the good news.I'm overly excited...I was chosen to be a CT member for Karla's Digi Kaleidoscope!!It's the first time I applied to be on a CT and yet I was chosen!I just love her designs to death and I'm so glad to get the opportunity to work with them.Karla as well as all of the CT members are so sweet and helpful,I think it's going to be a real joy to be a part of them.

Hi,there fellow scrappers!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas just like me.My parents came over and we had a lovely day.We had lots and lots of food!This year me and my mom decided we're going to make some salads and cold meats,but she also made a lovely meat pie(hot) for us.We really stuffed ourselves with the food!Afterwards we had a nice pudding my mom made for us.But let me tell you,even today I can't really look a piece of food straight in the eye!But what the heck,it's only once a year we get to overeat ourselves like that!

Okay let's get the party started!First off here is a layout I did off my daughter(the blond) with her best friend. Credits:

Hi,there ladies!Today I'm posting a layout I did and will tell you the story about the layout.
This morning my friend came over for a visit and was dropped off by the people she's lodging with.When I opened the gate for her I saw that there was a bird cage with a little kitten in it,but the man already drove off.Seeing that I'm a big cat lover,I was quite upset!She then told me that 2 days ago her 2 girls each brought home a ginger kitten,which she told them to take back because the people she's lodging with don't want any animals.As it turned out the people that gave the kittens to the children abruptly refused to take them back!My friend then told me, this morning the man said he's going to take the kitten (they found a home for the other one) to the local SPCA so they can find a house for the kitten.And that is why the poor thing was in a little bird cage.She then asked the man to please not just dump the kitten beside the road.So we went in, talked a bit and drank some cold drinks.About an hour later somebody knocked on the door...with a ginger kitten in her arms!The first thing I said was"Isn't this a coincidence!"And I asked if I could help her,she then wanted to know if I don't know to who this kitten belong.I said no,and just then my friend came to join me and saw the kitten...as it turned out it was the kitten the man was suppose to deliver to the SPCA!Now I live 2 houses from a field and the woman that brought the kitten,lived across the field.The poor kitten had an angel with him, because to get from the field to the houses you have to cross a busy street and a few "bad" dogs!We figured,the man decided to drop the kitten in the field so he doesn't have to make the trip to the SPCA. I decided to adopt the kitten and named him Peaches(the color of a peach is orange as well,does it make sense?)as you can see he's very comfortable here.Strange ways the Lord works!

Good evening ladies! So earlier this year I decided to set up a blog,but never came round to maintaining it.There was just to much going on in my life at that moment.But now I'm back and I'm willing to maintain it!So would you like to know what this blog is going to be about?I'm going to hunt for some of the best scrapbooking freebies on the net so you don't have to do it.You're very welcome to post a link to your site if you have some available.
